Healing from Deep Loss
Life has been feeling overwhelmingly heavy since I lost my sister three months ago. We were incredibly close; she was the kind of person who brought light and laughter wherever she went. I find myself often wandering around my house in disbelief, everything just a reminder that she's not here anymore. Weekend gatherings just aren't the same, and I really struggle when I think about how she won't be at our annual family reunion this year next month. I can hardly breathe at the thought. There are moments when I see something that reminds me of her, and I'm hit with waves of sorrow and longing that catch me off guard. I'm constantly reminded of her absence, and I just want a reprieve from the empty feelings swirling around inside me. Trying to be strong has felt exhausting, though I know I need to process this grief. So, I feel vulnerable asking for prayers that I can find some comfort, some peace in the memories, and allow myself to remember her with love, instead of just sorrow. I’m trying to find the strength to share her story and honor her, but the weight of it all leaves me unsteady. I know that with time, things might become easier, but right now, everything feels so heavy. If you could keep me in your thoughts and prayers, I would be truly grateful.
