Wrestling with Worry and Fear

Niamh Robinson

Life has felt like a series of transitions lately, and honestly, the overwhelm is heavy. It's hard to shake off the anxiety that creeps in at night, making every slight sound feel magnified. I’m in a tough spot with my finances, and I can’t stop worrying about how I’m going to cover the $1,500 in unexpected medical bills that appeared out of nowhere. It feels absurd to admit I'm losing sleep over that amount, especially when friends have faced so much worse. But watching my savings dwindle brings another wave of panic. Then there's the uncertainty surrounding my family. My sister’s health is declining, and the fear of losing her is constantly in the back of my mind. I sometimes find myself feeling guilty for even thinking about my own struggles when she’s facing what she is. I want to be strong for her, but I’m finding that’s harder to do with each day that passes. I know God calls us to cast our cares upon Him, yet it feels difficult to truly trust when everything feels so heavy. I would appreciate your prayers for peace of mind—to help me embrace the unknown as part of life’s journey. I hope to lean into faith rather than fear. I want to be able to support my family without feeling crushed under my own worries. Strength and wisdom in these times would mean the world.
