Seeking Direction in My Career
I'm feeling really lost in my career right now. After almost a decade at my current job, I was laid off last month due to budget cuts, and honestly, it hit me pretty hard. I’ve been applying everywhere, but it feels like I’m just sending my resume into a black hole. I have an interview coming up this Tuesday, and I want to put my best foot forward but I'm battling a lot of self-doubt. I know I can bring value to a company, but grappling with the uncertainty of starting anew is overwhelming. Also, I've got bills piling up – rent, student loans, and my kids’ expenses don't stop coming just because I’m unemployed. I've been trying to stay positive, but some days it’s just tough to keep my spirit up when the phone doesn’t ring. I would really appreciate your prayers for clarity in this searching process. I want to find a position that not only fits my skills but is also in alignment with my calling. Pray for the interview this week – that I can present myself well and feel that sense of peace that only God brings amidst striving.
