Guidance with Family Decisions
I’m feeling really overwhelmed right now with a family situation that's been weighing heavily on my heart. Honestly, my sister and I are at odds about how to handle our mom’s care after her recent health decline. She’s been struggling with her memory for a while, but it really hit home when she got lost on a simple walk around the neighborhood last week. Now, my sister thinks we should look into assisted living right away, but I feel like we should explore in-home care first and give Mom a bit more time in a familiar environment. We’re both worried about how these decisions will affect her, as well as our own relationship. Not sure how to say this, but it feels like we’re both passionate about what’s best for Mom, but it’s causing tension between us. I’m praying for clarity and peace in our discussions, and that we can come together to support our mom in a way that honors her wishes. I don’t want to be at odds with my sister; she’s my rock. If you could keep us in your prayers for wisdom and compassion in this process, it would mean a lot. I know we’re doing our best, but this struggle feels so daunting right now. Thank you, everyone.
