Seeking Family Unity and Peace
I've been feeling a lot of tension at home lately, just this heaviness that I can't shake off. My teenage son, Jake, and I have been butting heads over everything from schoolwork to his new friends. It's troubling seeing him pull away, and honestly, it breaks my heart. I know he’s figuring things out, but this distance is tough. My wife, Lisa, is feeling the strain too. We end up arguing about how to handle things with Jake, and neither of us wants to feel like we're on opposing teams. On top of that, aging parents can be quite the challenge. My mom has been dealing with some health issues lately, which adds another layer of stress. She just had a fall a few weeks ago, and it’s made my brother and me realize that she needs more support. Balancing all of this while trying to bring some peace back into our family is really overwhelming. I could really use prayer for clarity on how to approach the situation with Jake, and for wisdom in parenting and marriage as we navigate all of this. I want our home to be a place of love and unity, not conflict.
