Navigating Family Relationships

Ah Wei

My heart feels heavy right now with everything happening in my family. I’ve been having some tough conversations with my oldest daughter, who is in her first year of college. She’s struggling with balancing school, friends, and her mental health. I just want her to feel supported, but it feels like I’m not connecting with her the way I used to. It’s hard, and I’m anxious about the choices she’s making. I hope for patience and wisdom as we navigate this new challenge together. On top of that, my parents are getting older, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to manage their health issues. Dad's been having memory lapses, and I worry about how much support Mom can provide as her health isn't the best either. I’m trying to juggle visits and calls while still being there for my kids at home, and honestly, it’s overwhelming. Time just seems to slip away all too fast, and I feel a weight pressing on my shoulders. Most importantly, I want to foster stronger connections and unity in our family through this. I miss the laughter and joy we used to share. Please pray for healing, understanding, and patience in our family as we work through these stages; I really desire peace and a bond that stays strong during these transitions.
