Struggling with Grief and Loss

Koh Jian Hong

Things have been really tough lately since losing my grandma last month. I thought I was prepared for it, but the reality has hit harder than I expected. I keep expecting to see her sitting in her favorite chair whenever I walk into the living room, and it just feels empty without her. Some days I can’t stop crying, and other days, I feel numb. It's all so confusing. I miss our long talks over tea and the way she always knew how to lighten my mood with her stories. This process feels overwhelming at times—like I'm trying to carry this weight around and pretend everything is okay at work and with friends. I’m having moments where I forget to breathe, and I know I need help to process this. Could you keep me in your prayers? I could really use some comfort and healing. I know it’s going to take time to navigate this loss, but I would appreciate any support—thoughts, prayers, anything you feel led to share. I just want to feel a sense of peace again and find a way to honor her memory without it feeling like this deep ache.
