Seeking Peace and Justice in the World

Mariam Achieng

There’s been so much chaos lately that it really weighs on my heart. Just last week, I saw news of devastating floods affecting thousands of families overseas. It feels overwhelming to think about how so many people are suffering just to make it through each day. My aunt has been working with a charity in that region, and she's shared some harrowing stories. This Friday, they’re hosting a fundraiser, and I’m praying it will help make a real impact. If you could lift up the victims of these natural disasters, and also those in areas of political unrest, that would mean a lot. Just yesterday, I read about escalating tensions in several countries where innocent people are feeling the effects of violence. My heart aches for those facing persecution for their beliefs, especially when they should be able to worship freely. I’m feeling a bit helpless and wondering what more I can do. Let’s pray for peace to blanket these nations and for justice to be served. It’s hard to find hope sometimes, but I trust that God can bring change where it feels impossible. Thank you for listening; I appreciate this community more than words can express.
