Praying for Global Peace and Justice

Kiaora Jenkins

I can't shake the feeling of heaviness in my heart lately. With everything going on in the world, it feels like every day brings new news of violence, injustice, and natural disasters that leave so many suffering. This week, I heard about the devastating earthquake in Turkey, where thousands are without homes or basic necessities. I think about the families affected and how much they must be hurting right now. On a broader scale, my heart breaks for the persecuted believers in different parts of the world. I read about Christians who are risking everything just to gather and worship in secret. It's hard to imagine living in that kind of fear, while we have the freedom to worship openly. Honestly, it makes me want to do more than just pray, but I also know that prayer is powerful. I crave a world that reflects justice and peace, not just for a day but as a long-term commitment. If you could join me in praying for comfort for those in distress, for protection over those who face persecution, and for relief efforts in areas affected by disaster, I’d be so grateful. Let's pray together that the peace of God covers our world, and that justice prevails for those who feel their voices aren’t heard.
