Guidance Through Family Transitions

사우르 아델린

There’s a lot swirling around with my family right now. Our youngest, Emma, is heading off to college in just a couple of weeks. She’s excited, but I can see that she’s also nervous. Honestly, so am I. It feels like just yesterday I was holding her hand on the first day of kindergarten. I find myself struggling to let go, and I just want to support her the best I can during this transition. Then there’s Tom. We’ve been having more disagreements lately, especially regarding how to handle things with our aging parents. His mom's health has been declining, and it’s taking such a toll on both sides of the family. The pressure is building and I’m worried it’s creating a wedge between us. I know we both want to do what’s best, but some days it feels overwhelming. I wish we could find a way to communicate without getting frustrated. Please pray for peace and understanding in our home. I want to find a balance that honors Emma’s independence while still being her support. Also, strength for Tom and me as we navigate our parents’ care together. I hope we can merge our perspectives to work as a team rather than feeling divided. This is such a challenging time for all of us.
