Gratitude for Blessings and Transitions

Feeling really reflective this week. I can’t help but think about how blessed I am; we celebrated 40 years of marriage last month, and it blows my mind how every year has been woven together with both challenges and victories. We finally paid off our mortgage last year, which gave us such peace of mind, and I’m so grateful for my health—still walking every day and enjoying the simple things. Honestly, I can’t remember the last time I got a migraine, which has been such a huge relief. That said, I’m also looking ahead to some uncertain transitions. Our youngest is heading off to college in just a few weeks, and while I’m excited for him, it’s also bittersweet. I’ve got a lot on my mind about letting go, and I want to be the supportive dad without overwhelming him with my feelings. If you could pray for wisdom during this transition, I would really appreciate it. I feel like God has already been so faithful during all these life changes, but I want to carry that faith into this new chapter, too.
